Edosa Osemwegie

Mattapan Community Captain

Edosa Osemwegie (he/him) is an independent curator and advocate for African and Black diaspora culture. Born to Nigerian parents in Verona, Italy, he immigrated to Massachusetts at the age of five. Growing up in an African household, he noticed the lack of African influences in his community, inspiring him to establish DiasporaMass. This platform initially focused on African culture but expanded to encompass the entire Black diaspora in Massachusetts and globally. Through photoshoots, news coverage, and resources, DiasporaMass celebrates and highlights the diversity of Black communities. Edosa is also actively involved with community organizations and nonprofits. He envisions a more united Black and brown community and strives to contribute to positive change. Edosa's commitment to independent curation, cultural advocacy, and community leadership makes him a trailblazer. His efforts inspire others and foster a more interconnected world.
